A little Gossip....

OK...there is no shortage of celebrity gossip these days....here are a few highlights:

There are unconfirmed rumors on a few sites that Laura Bennett had baby #6 on Saturday or Sunday. I can't find substantiated evidence of this, but I will be checking my online sources & let you know when the good news is confirmed!

This photo of her from bloggingprojectrunway shows a neck tattoo ala Jeffrey that has the names of Laura's children...how clever! Read all about her UES shower, shoes and all, at Project Rungay.

Britney partied in Vegas this weekend with Dancing with the Stars runner-up Mario Lopez.

Of course, Tom and Katie were decked out in Armani for their Saturday Scientology wedding ceremony in Italy (although it has been reported that they were already married in a civil ceremony in LA last week).

Chris Roinson files for divorce from his wife, Kate Hudson.

In Grey's Anatomy news, Ellen Pompeo got engaged on her 37th birthday to boyfriend and music producer Chris Ivery.

Check out People.com, Page Six, and E! for more!

French Women for All Seasons

Whether you're a bona fide francophile or not, you've probably heard of the wildly popular book, French Women Don't Get Fat.

Author Mireille Guiliano has done it again. Her 'have your cake and eat it too' approach to eating encourages women to savor delicious seasonal foods in controlled portions (a far cry form glutonous super-sized processed foods we are accustomed to stateside). She translates this mind-set to other parts of life as well...from fashion to entertaining.

Wine is food is my favorite chapter! As an executive for Clicquot, Guiliano has some great usable advice on selecting and enjoying wine.

Along with the delicious recipes, this chapter makes French Women for All Seasons a definte Haute Read!

What Do You Like? You'll Like This!

How often do we see something in our SMUT (People, InTouch, etc..) mags and say; "God, I love those Guess boots!" or "What kind of watch is Eva Mendes wearing?" or "I love Kate Moss' bag, what kind is it?"

You must check out like.com! Totally a Haute Site!!!

Preppy Potato

I had seen Preppy Potato belts on friends and other gals on the street and thought, too cute, but never asked where they got them. Well, Hautemomma Sarah Havens, and a few of her friends threw a Preppy Potato party recently and oh my goodness.....

You must check it out! Now, at first when I went to the site and saw the reindeer belt, I thought...no. Then I kept looking and these belts are really...HAUTE!

At the party I seriously could not decide. There were / are so many cute combinations of fabrics, buckles etc..! A definite HAUTE item! and GREAT gifts for the holidays!

Seeing Red...in a very good way-

The Red Gap tee ads are all over the November issues of the magazines I read. The Red campaign is the brainchild of Bono and Bobby Shriver in response to the AIDS epidemic in Africa.

The Manifesto at www.joinred.com states that it is not a charity, but a business model. By choosing to purchase Product Red items, medications are distributed to people who are stricken with the disease. Pretty simple.

Some of the global corporate partners are Emporio Armani (cool sunglassses, watches & more),Motorola(red RAZR), Gap(tees, accessories & more), Apple (red iPod nano), American Express, and Converse (Chuck Taylors).

You can submit a video for possible inclusion on the 'video wall' on the www.joinred.com homepage and tell the world what (Red) means to you. How cool is that?! photo form www.joinred.com.

Two More Days 'til Victor & Rolf at H&M

Have you seen Victor & Rolf's new collection for H&M? Head over here to check it out!

Dutch design duo Victor (Horsting) and Rolf (Snoeren) have collaborated to bring their conceptual art-meets-fashion designs to the masses via H&M.

Here are just a couple of the designs in the collection which is available in store November 9th. (Unfortunately, H&M does not offer online shopping).

If you're at all interested, you'd better gas up and head to Indy today as previous designers' special collections (Stella McCartney for example) have sold out in a matter of hours!

The blouse, skirt and shoes pictured above are $34.90, $49.90 & $99.90, respectively. The trench at left is $129.

My dear haute husband is travelling to Detroit and I have begged him incessantly to fight the crowds for me and bring these home...sure, he's supposed to be deposing some expert on something or other, but hitting H&M would surely be lots more fun. I'll let you know if by some miracle he comes through for me! Otherwise, I'm sure there will be plenty of crazily price-inflated pieces to be found on Ebay later this week.

Still Me

I went to the Washington Post's website to catch up on the news and of course wound up here...

Still Me...The Cool Mom's Guide to Staying Hip. There are great must watch, must read, and must listen recommendations for Hatuemomma and the little ones, but what really caught my eye was the interview with Laura Bennett from Project Runway. She has a great simply elegant style and a collection of shoes that even Carrie Bradshaw would covet! All this while raising five (with #6 on the way soon) children, working as an architect and running 5 or 6 miles a day...and I thought I was busy...ha!
