What a Sanctuary

We are back from vacation on Seabrook Island (at right). Not familiar with it? Well it is a smaller island right next to Kiawah Island. They are both gorgeous, but we like Seabrook because it is smaller and quiet. There are no hotels on Seabrook Island that is how small and sort of remote it is.

If you want lots to do you can go to Charleston for the day, or night, or over to Kiawah, which has grown tremendously in the past few years.

One place we went that I have to recommend is the new Sanctuary Hotel in Kiawah! OHHHH is it phenomenal! We went there for dinner on our anniversary night. We ate at the hotel restaurant called the Jasmine Porch. The food was outstanding, service amazing and the wine list....don't get me started! They had some of my favorite hard to fine vineyards listed!!!! I was in heaven!
