Haute,or not,Trend? High Waisted Jeans/Pants

What do you think about these styles?

I personally think some look okay, but you have to be careful. You don't want to look like Bridgette Bardot gone bad or the horrid - MOM JEAN; camel toe/flat butt...so select your trendy pants carefully and for goodness sake; if your body type doesn't fit the trend...then pass on it!

UNFLATTERING

I think they are rather flattering and much more easy to wear. Fashion is not squeezing into the latest pair of skinny jeans, but wearing classically cut clothing. Leaving something to the imagination can be the most seductive ploy of all!

NOOOOOOOOO.....say it is not so.
I am not opposed to a wide leg--no not at all, nor am I opposed to a somewhat higher waist--but not a boob high waist.

This trend is going to be hard to get used to, and even harder to pull off.

ACK!

I agree...I fear some styles will look "grandpa". I am all for a wider leg/trouser look and a bit higher waist, but not that high.

I love the wider leg and I have a short torso so hipsters don't work on me BUT I've seen very few people looking good in these. They are so high waisted they make you look huge. Jessica Simpson looked positively bulging and frumpy in a recent pic. On the other hand, Fergie pulls them off quite well in her latest video.

Thanks for all the great feedback! I have yet to find the perfect pair of these - but I am not totally ruling them out just yet. The right three inch heel with a great pair of black ones might not be soo bad. Be watching for some pictures of those caught looking Haute and Not so Haute in this trend.....:):)
